The Shikoku pilgrimage is a 1200km route connecting 88 Shingon Buddhist temples which are scattered around the Japanese island of Shikoku. I will begin the pilgrimage May 23rd and spend roughly 40 days walking around the island and visitng the temples. This is an adventure which was decided apon 6 years ago and which I've spent the last year and a half preparing for. You're welcome to join me as I update my progress from the road.
it's not much of a "youth" hostel though. i must be the youngest person there by at least ten years.however the price is right, and i'm clean and i've got a load of laundry on the go.
i am right now walking to dogo onsen to get really clean and to relax a bit.

I'm a 31 year old Canadian who has been living in Japan for six years. Life has been a little soft over the past few years and I've become a big ol' ball of butter. I've endured all of previous challenges but this will be a real test for me.
